Windows movie maker is a wonderful tool from Microsoft to make videos and slideshows of our own. You can add, edit home or downloaded videos and can make your own movies on your computer.

In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to add captions and rolling credits a video that looks professional.

Before I start, make sure you have Windows Movie Maker installed on your computer. If you don’t have it, download and install it from here.

Step 1: Open Windows Movie Maker program on your computer.

Step 2: Add video to the workspace.

Once the video is added, it looks like this,

Step 3: Drag the timeline to the part of the video you wanted to add the credits or captions.

Step 4: Now go to the ‘Home’ tab and click on ‘Captions’. You will see a caption being added like this,

Double-click on it to edit the caption text. Then the cursor will start blinking on the video preview pane. It would look something like this,

Step 5: Add text to it and clicking on the caption on the timeline will enable text formatting options.

Choose a caption style and set the font outline and its color as per your wish.

Step 6: Save it now and enjoy! This is how it looks after saving.

You can add as many captions as you want on a video. But make sure you don’t publish them online unless they are yours.

Happy Editing!
