Acer Launches New W-Fi Tablet Iconica A1-830 into Indian Market

Acer releases a new tablet, Iconica A1-830 into Indian market recently. It features 7.9 inch screen, 1GB RAM and Wi-Fi.

This tablet looks similar to Apple iPad mini in design and is offered at the price of Rs.11,299 on Flipkart.

While we look at the features of the tablet, it is equipped with Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and 1GB RAM. Multitasking would be good on this tablet and 3D gaming graphics would run without lag. Iconica A1-830 comes with Android 4.2 Jellybean, an outdated operating system which is one of the buyer pulling out factors.

The operating system is upgradable to Kitkat 4.4 which could be an extra cost for the buyer.

It comes with 5.0MP camera on the back and 2.0MP on front. The front camera is good to take selfies and to make better quality video calls.

Verdict

Acer took a bad move by launching A1-830 tablet in to Indian market now. The tablet has no special specifications and appreciable features expect that front camera among all. No one would expect to buy a tablet of such a price and with such a low specifications. The copying of Apple iPad’s design won’t bring it much sales unless it is equipped with latest arsenal. It may have worked for Acer if it was released a couple of years ago. Its too late Acer!
