Micormax on Monday lunched the rumored windows phones in India. Micromax is the first domestic company to produce windows phones. The two smartphones the company launched are wonderfully dual SIM phones with in the budget below 10k rupees. These are the first windows phones with dual SIM feature noticeably.
The 5-inch Micromax Canvas Win W121 is priced at Rs.9,500 and 4-inch Canvas Win W092 will be priced at Rs.6,500 making it the most affordable windows phone ever launched in the market.
“It is time we offered a new operating system and we are the first Indian brand to offer a product running on the new Windows Phone 8.1 OS” says, Sanjay Kapoor, the executive chairman of Micomax in the launch event.
The chairman of Microsoft, India Bhaskar Pramanik said that he is convinced of the partnership with Micromax as it will bring leverage to the Qualccomm reference designs bringing products at best price points. “We believe this ushers in a new world of choice for Indian consumers,” he added.
