Lenovo S8 Tablet Review: Features, Specifications, Highlights

If you are looking for a tab that is light weighted, handy and within the budget, it is definitely Lenovo Tab S8. Watch out for the cool features.

What’s in the box

There isn’t anything fascinating about the package as it is just a plain white box with the phone inside. There are a charger head and a USB cable along with some manuals and stuff.

Look and Feel

It gives a slim look at the sides and a little bump in the middle perfectly weighing 299 g (10.55oz) with 209.8 x 123.8 x 7.9 mm (8.26 x 4.87 x 0.31 in) dimensions helping us to travel lightly.

Its uniqueness from other phones is that it is so perfect in shape and size such that it is so light to carry. The back cover is made up of plastic with a shiny finishing touch which glitters with a grip to hold on rather than being to a smoothie.

It is a perfect travel companion and like other phones, it consists of volume up and down button on its right side, SIM and memory card holder on its left side. Just the old regular way.

Features and Specs

It comes with Android OS, v 4.4.2 (Kit Kat) which is updated with the latest software’s. It has quad-core processor embedded in it which seemingly works at a rapid pace be it loading an application, connecting to the web, etc.

Graphics part could have been more appealing when playing games or any graphical display it lacks the best visual environment for the user. This part, however, can be compensated by the optional LTE connectivity which when enabled gives a rapid browsing pace with blazing speed.

Its display type with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with multi-touch helps the user to randomly operate the phone in a seemingly fashionable way.

Battery

The only disadvantage is the battery power, when worked in lighter conditions maximum it can be used for 7 hours, in the least case, it is 6 hours. However, there is no brightness sensor in the phone hence we have to manually set the brightness.

Whenever an affordable price pops out it restricts certain features one such is the Battery power.

Camera

The front camera is 1.6MP which helps us to fill the thirst of taking a selfie. Whatever environment and lighting conditions it doesn’t prevent us from having a cool snap as the back camera is 8MP set with autofocus.

It has few options in it like other phones such as flash, HDR mode, panorama, filters. Though it lags a second to focus when clicked it gives a live visualization of everything and the zoom in and out quality works without a glitch of error.

This snap was taken in a darker environment but the image quality is perfect. Scaling can be made high with a little bit low compression so that it gives a feel of taking snaps in a real camera.

Highlights

Every phone as a highlight in it. Sound systems with Dolby® Audio makes us go crazy. Twin speakers one at the top and other at the bottom surrounds us and mesmerizes with its musical touch.

Connectivity and Commoners

It helps us to connect with the PC using micro USB v3.0 as well as used for charging and all the common specs GRPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 are also included in it.

Price

Lenovo S8 is available on Flipkart with the price tag of 16,990 INR along with free delivery and the option for affordable EMIs.

Overall

You can grab this phone irrespective of its negatives as the positives overlap the negatives. Every phone as pros and cons in it. But a high-end device at a much affordable price? Lenovo S8 Tablet answers the question.
