Though the second version of the windows 8 has already released, people are not yet accustomed to Metro UI. Using apps on windows 8 makes no difference of using a smart grade mobile phone but closing them isn’t that easy as on them for beginners. There is no need to discuss geeks here, they can use the hell out of any operating system. So this tutorial is totally for windows 8 or yeah! I know you got 8.1 now, so for windows 8.1 beginners too.

Method 1:

You can simply press Ctrl+F4 on any running app to get it closed.

Method 2:

If you are using windows 8 with touch screen, just drag it to the bottom of the screen and let go. Don’t worry that app is definitely would be closed. Why because that what windows 8 or 8.1 do.

Method 3:

Move down your mouse to the top-left corner of the screen and move down to show up all running apps. Simply right click on the app you wanted to close and click ‘close’.

Method 4:

This is one of the methods that made windows 8 stand tall. Apps you leave inactive for some time would be automatically closed. You would feel cared to know this.

What ever the method you use, make sure you have closed all the running apps before you shutdown the computer. That’s the best practice before shutting down a computer.
