Blogger is easy to use and understood compared to the other blogging platforms available on the internet. Windows Live Writer from the windows live essentials supports blogger integration which then elaborates the flexibility of blogging with more customizations.
Before setting up your blogger blog to it, you should know that
- The template you are using for your blog on blogger will be replicated in Windows Live Writer too.
- Any modifications made in the blogger template can be updated using the ‘Update Theme’ feature in Windows Live Writer.
Backup your blog’s template before you start doing this trick,
- Then change the template of your blog to which you wanted it in Windows Live Writer using the conventional method.
- Open the Windows Live Writer, go to ‘Blog Account’ and click on ‘Update theme’. By doing this, your blogger template in Windows Live Writer will be changed.
- Then restore the backup you have made initially into your blogger. After restoration, check the posting template in Windows Live Writer and your blog. They will look different as you wanted.
If you wanted to have the same posting template on your blog as well as Windows Live Writer, just update the theme on your Live Writer once again.
Note: This trick is much useful to those who wanted their blog’s home page without any posts but wanted the same posting template in Live Writer.
